A VALUES-BASED APPROACH, ROOTED IN FAITH

Our Early Childhood Education Philosophy

At The Scottsdale School, we are committed to supporting every child’s spiritual and educational growth by providing an age-appropriate curriculum centered on traditional values.

We strive to:

  • Lay a strong faith-centered foundation upon which the rest of children’s lives will be built.

We work to:

  • Offer a robust early childhood education that centers upon the healthy development of the whole child: their mind, body, soul, and spirit.

We aspire to:

  • Nurture a strong community of learners that values spiritual growth.

We view ourselves as an extension of your family. It’s a true blessing that we can nurture young lives each and every day.

What Makes The Scottsdale School Different From Other Christian Schools?

Our Expert Teachers & Staff

Our highly-trained staff are committed to ongoing education. This includes continuous professional development sessions, teacher training, and ongoing education support.

Educators at The Scottsdale School work each day to support your child’s personal needs, provide a high-quality education, and prioritize health and safety in a loving environment.

Strong Safety Protocols

The safety and security of your child is our top priority. At The Scottsdale School, we have extensive security measures in place to ensure that children, staff, and families are safe while in our care.

At our school, all teachers undergo comprehensive safety training to ensure a secure environment for all children. They learn to implement these measures seamlessly, so the children can focus on having fun while learning.
We invite you to visit our campus to see all the safety measures we have in place.

Caring Communication

Communication is key. We believe that:

  • Parents = Partners
  • Teachers = Teammates
  • Caregivers = Collaborators

We have an open-door policy when it comes to communication. As part of the The Scottsdale School community, families have access to our Parent Portal, Family Resources, and Email communication.

You’ll receive daily updates about your child and meet the teacher for bi-annual parent-teacher conferences.

We hope to be a part of your child’s life for many years. Feedback and conversations are always encouraged to strengthen our community and help build relationships.

An Inclusive Community

At our school, all children and families are welcome. We pride ourselves on the diverse, inclusive learning environment we’ve built.

We have both nonsecular and secular members of our community. While we are a faith-based learning center, it is not a requirement that children and their families be practicing Christians.

Prospective families often ask:

Do we need to be Christian to send our child to The Scottsdale School?

No. We welcome families of all religious, spiritual, and secular beliefs.

What if we practice another religion at home?

Wonderful! Our community of learners embraces diversity and welcomes children from all faith backgrounds.

Do all children participate in the daily Bible teachings?

Yes. We believe that the values in our daily lessons help build a strong moral foundation and teach important life skills.

Our Faith-Based Curriculum

Our curriculum focuses on giving children a strong foundation of key academic skills. Early childhood is an important time for learning, during which a child’s brain soaks up knowledge like a sponge. Our curriculum prioritizes:

  • Letter sounds
  • Child-friendly images
  • Biblical content
  • Challenging and engaging lessons
  • Carefully selected texts

… And much more!

We know that finding a school program that matches your family’s values can be challenging. Our faith-based school upholds the traditional values instilled at home.

Viewed as an extension of family, our teachers take their roles as educators very seriously. They share their love for the Lord by leading prayers, stories, and faith-based celebrations.
